another amp location for c3 please
Got my new stuff, RF amp 500X and Kappa spkrs. Where's best place for amp? Was wondering if behind passenger dash against firewall is possible, there seems to be room. Under seat doesnt look like enough room. Other possiblilties? THX

I'll be putting my amps behind the seats. I've also seen them mounted to the back wall. Never heard of anyone putting one behind the dash, but if it fits, guess you could. Make sure you take pics either way :thumbs:

I mounted my amp on the back wall of my 78.

I mounted a smaller alpine amp behind the passenger dash panel. It is at a cockeyed angle but it is solidly mounted so who cares. Used an L bracket or 2 and a hose clamp to attach to various braces. It is out of the way and leaves room for another amp in the rear.

I have a small phoneix gold amp (250 w) in the rear storage compartment. Works good since the battery isn't a foot away and all the wires can be ran under the rear carpet, and up the middle console real easy. Most amps won't fit in there tho without taking the black plastic piece out, revealing the jack. I am getting ready to buy me another amp for my 12's and use the phoneix gold amp for the rear 6x9's. I probably mount the bigger amp on the box itself. post some pics after you get it installed
