Default Starting to pull system together. Opinion/feedback please.

Well here is what I am thinking about for my '71 convertible.

head unit: Alpine CDA-7897 (already purchased)
kickpanel speakers: CDT HD-42
Sub: JL 10W0-4 in sealed enclosure
Amp: JL 300/4
raammat deadener throughout rear compartment.

I'm planning the enclosure to be similar to JLs CS110TG truck style box, but not as deep and a little wider. The standard box hit the folded convertible top a little too much.

Please let me know what you think. Any suggestions that will work better or be more cost effective would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I'm not a big fan of the JL300/4. It doesn't produce enough power to run components or a sub. If you want to stick with JL amps, get a JL300/2 and a JL250/1. Twice power all around for just a little more $$.

I gues I really don't need to stick with the JL amp. Any suggestions for a possible sustitute 4 channel?

Metal Wulf suggested the HiFonics Olympus a while back.

Although I don't see it listed on the site any longer
