Default My system is complete; whew! 1999 C5 Vert

I will have pictures by the weekend (wife has my camera)

1999 Silver Vert

I used vrumvrum's mounts. (LOVE EM!)

Radio: Alpine 7998 with vrumvrum's radio mount with 'Corvette' logo on it (aluminum mount bracket).
Front: Polk MM6 components with vrumvrum custom mounting brackets
Rear: Infinity 5 1/4 2/way
Sub: JL Stealthbox, 10 inch
Amp: Orion 5 channel 700 watt RMS; (which is VERY under estimated)
Xtreme Dynamat 80 percent interior (2 BIG boxes)
Alarm: Python Responder
Tint: 20% Llmar
To do: connect XM radio (AiNet cables run already)

With that in mine, and no time to ever open a manuel, anyone know the best settings for that deck to my setup.. (I can install, but can't read eheh)

Nice system, I have that same amp.....you may want to get a 1 farad capacitor.....I have the Kenwood 969 Deck which is awesome, with JL audio XR componets front and Back with a Diamond audio "12 Sub in one of Mike's Stealth boxes, and also Vrumrum's Radio Bezel with the Corvette logo and speaker mounts for the doors...... I love my new system too!!! congrats

I was (back in the early 90's) DEI certified.

DEI to me is the BEST alarm.

Viper/Python brains are the best, really. Now with the 2-way introduced, (My car stays outside :( ) you are in constant contact with your car.

Yes, on my system on my 98 vert, if i turn it up too loud the amp will pull so much juice that it will cut off if it hits a heavy bass note.....I was told by the orion dealer rep that I need a cap.........isn't DEI and Orion the same company too? At night my lights also dim when I am jamming it a little loud, and I want to be able to crank it with all the money in the system....I will take some pictures too, and show my set up

Orion is DEI as well, along with PPI..

Does anyone have good settings for the Alpine 7998? Tuning that deck is a bitch.. too much options.. :banghead:

Go to Alpine's website and go through their menu to do the settings online. Then burn it to a CDR and load the settings into your 7998. Piece of cake.

With the 7998, you really need to adjust it to your personal likings. The time differential took me a month of messing around until I got it just right. Sweet system!
