Since I've never been able to give my Delco/Bose Gold system a fair audition due to several broken components, I want to restore it to O.E.M. specs first, then determine if it's truly garbage or not.
Is it possible to remove the amps from the speaker enclosures front and rear. I'm assuming it IS, since there are several companies that offer reconditioned Bose amps without the speakers. How do I remove the amps from the speakers. Do I have to disconnect some sort of PIN connector? Are the circuit boards screwed in place on the enclosures?
If anyone can offer removal tips for amps FRONT and REAR, I'd be grateful. Thanks. :)
Gene: I've got a stromg suspicion that my rears are blown as all I can hear is an unclear bass response with no treble whatsoever. Any suggestions? If you think that the amps might help let me know?
Thanks,Jay
