Eclipse can rot...
Tired of them delaying the 8053... Its nice, but not waiting-without-tunes-until-july nice! I'm going to order a 7998 from Tuan Le. I played with a 7998 tonight at Magnolia Hi Fi and Ive GOT TO HAVE IT... Alarm goes in this weekend, hopefully, Alpine next weekend.

Who told you July? I am waiting on the same head unit and my audio shop is still saying a couple of weeks. They just recieved the model under the 8053 and said that the 8053 should be in tow shortly. :yesnod: I hope that you are wrong about this one but it was supposed to ship in April originally and I still don't have one yet. This is definately getting ridiculous. :rolleyes:

Mrkln, Eclipse hasn't started assembling the 8053 yet. The "rumor mill' places it at july 15. Thats if you pre-ordered one. I think Eclipse is pulling a false demand scam or something,

I just hope the face plate will open fully and not hit the A/C control bevel. :D

Well Kale, I'm not sure why your shop told you that you would have to wait until July. I went up to my local shop and they just received 2 today and I must say that it looks very :cool:. I now own one of them but my timing is bad as I am not going to be able to do anything with it for a little while. I am in the process of moving into my new house so I will be beyond busy for the next couple of weeks.
Maybe you could mailorder the second unit that they had come in today. :cheers:

I found some in stock at a local shop just the other day. Im sticking with the 7998 from Tuan Le though, after playing with both units side by side.. i like the Alpine more.
