Hi Gang

You all are right, that is the way we did it, with the old trusty battery. A very hi tech method I would say. What ever works, some times it is the simplest ways that are the best, and fool proof. So they are all hooked up now and he is happy. I am still looking for that electric antenna for my 99, so I would appreciate it if any of you run across one or hear about any. to let me know.

Take care.......Gunny.......... :seeya

What if all your speakers are hooked up opposite. Meaning....all positives from amp are hooked up to negatives on speakers or visa-versa. Would it make a difference? It sounds good now...but since you guys have said that "most positive terminals are larger" I realized that I decided that the smaller ones were positive and hooked it up that way.

Bleweyes...I guess I mis understood your original post. In your original post you made it sound like you needed to know what the + and - wires from the radio itself were, not what the + and - on the speakers were? Sorry for all the info I posted inregards to the stereo wire outputs. My bad.

It won't matter. Some people claim to be able to tell "absolute phase" but no one has ever proved that they can tell the difference. As long as they're all hooked up the same way, it doesn't make a difference.
