Dynamat vs. Brown bread
I recently completed the a dynamat install on my car and i was wondering why most of the people on the forum think that the brown bread materail is better than that of dynamat. Excluding price. I have a wholesale acount with dynamat so price is really no diffrence. I used dynamat extreme and extreme liner. My carpet was pretty worn out so the insulation i dont think was very good. So i think i should have a good reduction in sound going from worn out carpet to dynamat and extreme liner plus fresh carpet.

we say brown bread is better because it's cheaper. they're all the same thing, so price is all that matters.

Actually... Dynamat Extreme is the better deadener for <86 deg F, and BB is better for >86 deg F.
Compare:
BB Dyn-X
32F .23 .24
50F .26 .26
68F .39 .42
86F .32 .26
104F .24 .19
At least the scientific judgement. Also the brown bread and l-comp combination can't be beat. That combo is good for -8db convertible and -10db coupe.
And.... BB is 1/2 the cost of Dynamat for the rest of the 99% population :).
