Re: Stupid Question (Kale)
so, I have 2 way crossover for my cdt's, but the alpine instruction booklet makes it sound like I have a 3 way system. Which is it?

Re: Stupid Question (KDuniverse)
Alpine is talking about the crossover in the HU. 3 way means high pass, low pass, or off.

Re: Stupid Question (KDuniverse)
no, you have a 2 way system. 2 speakers (tweeter, midbass)
a 3 way system is 3 speakers (tweeter, midbass, midrange)

Re: Stupid Question (KDuniverse)
the alpine hu is capable of using both a high pass and low pass filter on the rear speaker output... i believe this is what it refers to as a "3 way system" mode. dont worry about it.
its useful if you want to add midbass speakers in the rear, though.
