I'm not real big on stereo systems 'cause my hearing is pretty shot, but I do like my rock 'n roll while I'm cruisin'!!
I finally bit the bullet and bought a Bose CD unit from Dr. Don, and it truly is a "plug 'n play" into my '87. It sounds great, fits like a glove, and keeps a factory appearance in my car.
I know there's a lot better out there, but this one works for my needs, and I had to give them their props!!!
Nice! I'm looking to do the same with my 96 so I've got a couple of questions:
First, who is Dr Don? Did a search of the internet and couldn't find a thing.
Second, you said the new Bose was a "plug n play" install. Was the old radio a Bose as well? I ask because I've got the AC Delco AM/FM/cassette in mine and have heard the Bose units have separate pre-amps and different speaker wiring and different connectors. If that's the case, it doesn't sound like it would be a "plug n play" installation for me.
Thanks
I got the same unit for my 86 from Doctor Don. when it comes to Bose radios there is no one better than Dr.Don. He even took the time to help me on some
trouble shooting (on the phone & via e-mail)
