wire harness question
Hi guys,
While I'm awaiting the arrival of my new stereo parts... I've got a question regarding hooking it up.
I assume I can and should use the existing GM female end on the wiring harness and simply buy a Receiver Wire Harness and wire up the HU. Am I assuming correctly? Can anyone relate their experience with aftermarket wiring harnesses and where to buy the harness from?
Also - the Alpine HU I'm getting is 7" wide x 3 15/16" high x 6 1/8" deep. From what I've measured the opening is 7 7/16" wide x 3 7/16" tall, so it will fit width wise, but it looks a bit tall. Any advice on mounting it?
I've got an 88 with std. Bose, am replacing all the Bose (new HU and speakers)
