ok i know this is not an electronic question but i figured you guys would know.
I asked in the C4 general and no respose. i even tried a ricer forum and all it turns into is a domestic to import argument.
simple question. what type of glue or how can i get vinyl to stick to my plastic interior pieces? I tried the heavy duty interior spray and it worked great until i placed it in the car on a hot day. it bubbled up.
:iagree: you need to clean very thoroughly. I just installed some velcro on the dash of my '96 Firebird to attach the remote for my cd changer. I cleaned it first with rubbing alcohol to remove all the cleaners and armor all. It worked very well. The velcro is still sticking after about a month; even in S. Central Texas.
I have never used armor all in my car. and i did clean it with alchol. the glue stuck fine to the plastic and it even took the shape of the vinyl. it's just sitting in the Texas sun evn with my dark tint it get hot. the glue just got soft and came undone. i'm going to use the 3m stuff like you guys recommended. thanks maybe the stuff i had was a bit too cheap.
I agree with everything said above, but I believe 3-M Vinyl Top adheasive is even stronger than the interior trim stuff. Same price too. Just my .02 worth.
