I am getting ready to put my new system together. I am going to use the Diamond Audio Hex 600s for the fronts, but I would like to move the tweeter up higher from the stock location. I know some people around have done this, could you send me some pics of your installs? Has anyone mounted them in the A-pillars? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The best suggestion I've seen here is to use double sided tape and try various locations to find the best one that works for you. I personally think that the A pillars are too far away from the mid bass drivers. Somewhere in the doors is the best. I didn't have the ***** to cut my door panels however, so my tweets are in the stock locations pointed up.

:iagree: Definately try them in the doors first. The stock mid driver fires into the door panel. A properly positioned tweeter makes a big difference down there. I was dead set on putting them in the door or A-pillar until i tried them in the door. Sounded amazing. Besides, the best spot to put them in the upper part of the door if directly in front of the door handle. That is what, 6 inches higher then the door spot?? Whay hack up your door for a 6" move?
Mine are probably the highest (location) you'll see in a C5. Most don't like the visual aspect, but it does greatly help out the prescense of image above the knee region. Goin for stronger midbass/midrange up front so my doors will have 6.5" midrange and 7" midbass's with the tweeteres still residing in the defrost vents.
The rule used to be keeping the tweeter within 6" of the midrange, that will help avoid time delay and phase issues.
By the way, you have picked great speakers.
