When I turn the stereo on in my car, I get a weird sort of 'humming' noise coming from the speakers. I don't think it's alternator noise since it doesn't fluctuate in tone when I rev the engine or accelerate. And it doesn't get any louder when I crank the volume either (I turn it up just to drown it out0. I don't know if it's the Bose head unit or if it's the Bose speaker/amp units themselves. I will most likely be pulling everything out of the car this winter and begin a full-on rebuild, but I was just curious what anybody here thinks it might be.
