After trying and considering a few options I think I've narrowed it down...Im gonna try to build a fiberglass enclosure for my coupe to house 2 15s in. This means I'm gonna have to move all the electronics too. I'll keep everybody posted. Ive never done fiberglass before so I"m sure this will be a learning experience.

2 15's??
I've seen big SUVs that could barely fit a box for 2 15's, particularly if they are ported. I'm excited to see this. :lurk:
Re: Here goes nothing- sub enclosure build (leolufse)
I've had 2 18s in here before. Except it was heavier then hell and I couldnt stow ANYTHING. This one I'm doing to save weight and to be able to stow the top.
Re: Here goes nothing- sub enclosure build (ICULUKN-C5)
Man this stuff is a pain in the butt to use, not to mention its expensive too. I'm only done the first stage waiting for it to dry. Itll probbly take 3-4 more coats to get the proper thickness needed. Its all sticky and burns if you get it on your skin too. I hope it turns out and is worth the effot...

2 15" and store the top :skep: :skep: :skep: :skep:
I have three Infinity 12" subs in the C5 and I can store the top, but o'so barely.
I also have two JL 18W6s in my Talon, they only need 1.75 cubes a piece.
I wish I could figure out how to get pictures on the forum so I could show you guys.
What brand subs are you using?
Re: Here goes nothing- sub enclosure build (leolufse)
That woofer is soooo meant for show. Its so expensive and inefficient, that the amount of $ could be better spent on multiple 15s or 18s.
Anyway this fiberglassing is a pain in the butt. Its so messy and if it gets on your hands it burns. Then you gotta deal with lumps and clumps and the limited working time. Yup its a big mess.
Oh yeah I do have a 5000 watt PA amplifier for my DJ system though
