DVC sub wiring question??

DVC sub wiring question??
I have a MTX 8000 DVC 12" sub. It has dual 4 ohm voice coils. Can I run the left and right 4 ohm outputs(rear channels) of my amp to each respective coil? I am really trying to avoid purchasing a new amp is the reason and the amps that I have are not 2 ohm stable. (Fosgate Power 650 & Power 300) So if I can feed 4ohms into each coil iI will not fry the amps. The question is can the sub hold up like this? I know its not the best idea but it may work for me. Any suggestions?????

sure, it's possible. But I really would NOT do it... pretty good chances you'll damage the sub.
of course, then you can buy a better sub (and one that matches the amp) :D

That's what I figured....so it's either get a new set of amps OR get a dual 8ohm sub(that fits in Mike's box) Man decisions decisions......

Thats what I meant....LOL Today is not my day. Does JL make a dual 2 ohm? All I ever see is their dual 6ohm?

Oh yeah.. i forgot about JL's 6/3 ohm thing... I think the W6 and w7 are like that? Not too familiar with their offerings.
I'm more of an ID fan, myself.
