Panasonic Head Units....Any Good?
I'm looking at the Panasonic MXE CQ-DFX983U
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=1&cc=01&avf=Y does anyone know how good Panasonic headunits are? I don't need the features of an Alpine and I'm not running a sub in my audio system so I'm looking for something with good power. Thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

More show than go IMO. A friend has one installed in his PT Cruiser. The HU is powering 4 coaxial speakers in the car. When the music gets up to a moderate level, the lights start to dim on the HU.
You cant miss with Alpine. Even their lower end units are still high quality, they just have less features. Mid to upper Pioneer units are very good too.
Sony HU's are not terrible.
