Which CDTs?
I'm looking to upgrade my speakers,
initally i thought tweeters and HU will do it, but now i'm looking at different packages, what would you get from CDTs? http://www.cdtaudio.com/car_audio.htm
The professional or Euro sport? Exact model name/number?
i don't want just to add stuff, i want replace stuff in the car - so i don't add weight :).. i'm really frustrqated about audio upgrade...

The HD's are a great set of speakers. Ive heard nothing but really good reviews about 'em. There are some reviews about them on the CDT web page (http://www.cdtaudio.com/2000.html) but if youd like some first hand reviews, try searching for 'em at elitecaraudio.com.
With that being said, the CL's are the entry-line but compete with models that come with twice the price tag :) The HD's are a step up, and the Eurosports are the top-of-the-line model. You cant go wrong with any of them.
If youre interested some CDT, check out thezeb.com as they have some of the best prices available. I have a personal friend who's a dealer and can beat thezebs prices so if youre interested, email me and I'll set you up with some quotes and his information.

I have the HD's in my 85, and they are incredible. I have tried many different speakers in that car and these are by far the best sounding I have found. Somewhere in the Archives, there may be a post by someone who tried the Euro's and the HD's, and did not hear that much of a difference.
I have the JL XR's in the 98, and it is also a great speaker, but I give a sllight edge to the CDT's
