I just got ahold of an XM radio setup for dirt cheap. Came with everything included (minus of course the adapters to interface the FM modulator to the GM antenna), and I'm just getting around to hooking it up.
My question is .. where did some of you wire it up to? I found a web site that advised using the fuse panel below the passenger floorboard, but that's where I get a bit lost .. heh
Where should I hook up the constant 12v to, and where should I hook up the ACC (remote wire) to?
Any hints would be great, I'm almost done with this thing.
There are 3 wires in the passenger footwell fuse compartment. The owners maual tells you what color wire does what. From memory, the yellow is 12volt switched (ACC), the orange is constant 12+, and the black is ground.
But double check the manual to be sure.
That's my floorboard with the fuse cover off. I don't see any wires that just come up and grab me, saying 'HERE I AM STUPID HERE I AM' .. so could someone help me out in figuring out where they are?
The wires should be wrapped in black tape towards the top left of the fuse panel. Just get under there and you'll find it. It might be tooked somewhere in that location but just look for those 3 colors.
