Ok, I am really new to this so please be gentle. I just recieved my two subs and amp. The subs are audiobahn AW1000Q. They have dual 4ohm coils. And it says that it operates at 2ohms or 8ohms. The amp I bought is the audiobahn A8002T. It says that it can do 400watts x 2 at 2 ohms. The diagrams always just show one channel I guess. But is showed that to get the amp to run at 2ohms with the dual 4ohm coiled sub I would have to wire it as Parallel. So I was wondering do I just wire each sub to a channel of the amp as parallel? That way both channels are running at 2ohms?
The amp makes 400x2 at 2 ohms. So wire each of your subs in parallel for a 2 ohm resistance per sub. Then hook one up to the left channel and the other to the right channel and run the amp in stereo mode. Each sub will get 400 watts. Those Audiobahn subs look cool if you invert them in the box (mount them upside down so the magnet shows)
