Default Kickpanel Speakers

I have a 70 model and want to put speakers in the kick panels I think. Anyone have any pics of their setup. I don't want to cut the door panels, too expensive to replace. I have a set of 6.5 inch speakers but I am afraid they are too big. Any help would be appreaciated.

they're to big... you can either make an MDF trim ring to mount the speaker to the kick which would be the most ghetto way of doing it, or you can get some fiberglass and make some custom kicks.

I dont know metal wulf, a protruding speaker on the driverside could be a problem with leg clearance from the clutch.

I think I am gonna search out a set of 4X6 to go in the dash right now. I found some MB Quarts that should be OK. What do you think.

measure the clearance you have for depth on the drivers side, and make sure those will fit. I've heard people saying that gauge cluster doesn't leave much room and they run into fitment problems.

Those should be nice if they'll fit. but don't expect a lot from a 4x6.

yea, a clutch makes it a pain, but high and angled enough and it's possible.

door panel would be the best place for a 6.5

I don't know about a 70 corvette but here is a pic of a 6 1/2 and two tweets in a kick panel. Almost anything is possible if you have the time and $

Good luck
