Keyfobs & Receiver units.
Does anybody know how close frequency-wise keyfobs and receivers have to be to work with each other?
A friend of mine is trying to retrofit a keyless entry system onto his '96 Audi purchasing factory Audi parts piece by piece. He's got a receiver unit with an FCC ID that we looked up, but isn't sure how to go about purchasing the correct fobs now. He's trying to get them cheaper than going straight to Audi.
