I have an Alpine T020 XM Reciever Module hooked to an Alpine D-900 H.U. with
the antenna mounted in the rear facia like several other members have done.
My reception is very poor, it cuts in and out constantly and the display says "loss of signal".
Thought it might be a bad ground but changed grounding location with no improvement.
Is anybody else having this problem or might know of a fix?

It seems there was a post a couple of months back where someone mentioned the earlier Alpine T020 XM tuners having some problems with reception but can't find it in the archives.
Does anybody know or remember this?
This poor reception of which you speak should not be the case. There are occasions that the XM signal is briefly lost due to large trees, buildings, or mountains. But I hardly every get a "no signal" message unless it is pouring down rain.
i havent got a no signal message yet....BUT i do lose the station for awhile every now and then.....i moved the antenna twice and it hasnt helped :mad :mad oh well........i have spent more on things that dont work like they should..........maybe i will buy another alpine deck and put it in the tahoe      it has a metal roof :yesnod:
