Where can I get a constant 12V power source in the back of the car?? I know hte reverse lights only go on when the car is in reverse, so that won't work. My power antennea only goes on when i put the radio on FM or AM so i have a feeling that won't work either.
Do I just need to run two wires to my power and ground to my amp behind the seats or take it all the way to the ignition??? Looking for a good power source for when the ignition is +12, don't want the car to have to be running. And if I run it off of the constant +12 then i will probabally need a relay using the remote on from the head unit right?????
Re: Ready to install camera in back-POWER? (MEATHOUSE)
There is an accessory wire harness in the passenger fuse compartment. Yellow is switched 12 volt, Orange is constant 12 volt, and Black is ground.
My IVA-D900 had an input for the back up camera that hooked to the back up light circuit, so when you put the car in reverse, the camera would come on.

What monitor are you using? I have an Alpine TME M760. I'm set up with a wire that taps into the backup lights from the monitor "interface" or control box. It switches on the backup camera when I go into reverse. I can also turn on the backup camera by pushing a button on the monitor itself and going to "video 3". I've tapped into the power cable going to my amp, but you need to use a fuse.
