I am very impressed with this sub. Its an Elemental Designs e10o series. I have it set up almost perfectly with what ed recommends. .8ft^3 and 600 watts.
What impresses me the most is the bottom end. The frequencies below 45 HZ are very noticeablecompared to the L5 I was running. It is hard to belive you can get this much bottom end from a 10" in such a small enclosure. The rest of the frequency range is very transient and musical.
It is a blast to watch the unique flat cone rise up as the bass hits. This is the best sounding sub I've had installed in the vette. I like it much better than the JL10w3v2 I had in terms of imact and bottom end. It doesn't quite pound like the L5, but the overall SQ and SQL is far superior.
Welcome to the ED club ! You'll be amazed at how good it will sound when broken in. It took at least a week for my e12a to break in. Now that it has
the only other sub I would want would be an ed15a. Oh boy..................!

Lots of things here I like - extended lows with good detail.
Does Elemental make an 8" driver. I made a custom glass enclosure for one of the outer compartments in my old coupe. It housed an 8W3 JL. Previously, I had a 10W6 in the center compartment. In comparison the low range extension on the 8 was very weak compared to the 10.
Any thoughts if an Elemental 8 would play lower than a JL 8??

:yesnod: E8A :smash: the JL 8w3 only has 9.5mm Xmax, the E8A has 16.5mm :reddevil
I almost order two E8A subs for my C5 Vert project.
I ended up getting two Kicker Solobaric S8L7.
As of Dec 09, 1:00 pm central time, I'm just done with drawing board :D
It will be a tough project.

Mike, you have been talking about his 8" sub project for like 6 weeks now. You need to stop building stealth boxes and get to work on your own project for while.
Yeah we gotta get goin an ED-Vette fan club, cause they are both fine pieces
of craftsmanship. My ed12a is tighter than a IDQ10 I used to own, that's a 12"
sub being tighter than a 10" well made sub, already known for it's outstanding sound quality. :yesnod:
