need help on upgrading my sound system....

Here’s the HU I have:
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
My friend is selling this 10-disk Blaupunkt CD changer for 70 bucks: http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
Should I get it?
Third, I’m looking at amps. I narrowed it down to these 3:
1.) http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...L640&s=0&cc=01
2.) http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
3.) http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
Which one is best/would work best? I liked the power of the US Acoustics. I don’t care about looks, but I want a well performing amp that isn’t out of my budget, and had 4 channel power.
Finally, I need speakers. That’s where I need most help. Should I completely take out the old Bose system? Including the plastic mounting back? Secondly, what’s the largest speakers I could fit while still retaining the stock look?
I’m looking at a speaker that has good bass. I donÂt have the money for another amp or for a sub, so the speakers will have to provide the bass. I know it won’t be enough, but it'll do. I’m looking at components for all 4 corners. Is that a good idea? I figured I’d get more bass from like a 6 ½” (assuming it’s the largest I can use) than some 3-way 6x9’s or whatnot. What do you guys recommend?
I’m considering (again, depends on what you guys say, and if they fit) on:
1.) http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
2.) http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
3.) http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
I’m not made of money here, as you can see! But I like the idea of the Polk’s, since a second pair is only ½ price.
Or, how about components up front, and maybe 2 of:
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
Or
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
So, what do you think? What’s the max size speakers I can use and keep a stock look? What would be better, 4 component speakers, or 2 components up front, and 2 mid-range, subs in the back pockets? Also, where would be some good positions to put the tweeters?
Sorry the post was so long, I wanted to get everything in one post.

Amp2: Good, solid amp. Reputed to make rated power, and be generally reliable.
Amp3: Forget it.
Winner: Amp2

None of those speakers.
these are MUCH MUCH MUCH Better:

Great bass, they go low. These are Mid end, brushing on lower high end.
But you want hte 550.2 model if you are installing it in the front of a 1990 model. The 650.2 will be way too big.
they have TINY neo magnets, and really really rock.
The ones you posted are all "upper low end"
Honestly, I'd get a 100x2 amp and just run front speakers, use the money you saved, and get like, an image dynamids ID10 from Sounddomain, and a 200 watt amp to power it.
I would vote for the US Acoustic and a big yes on the $70 CD changer.
Speakers...go out and listen to some before you buy any brand. For best sound, go with just front speakers and a sub. Run the fronts off of channels 1 and 2 of the amp, bridge channels 3 and 4 into a sub.
I do not know much about the C4 since I've only owned C5's. Here is a link to my set-up http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/412350/2
good luck on your stereo

What's the largest size I can use?
Also, any opinions on the HU?

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

First, what size front component speakers? Where could/should the tweets be placed? Secondly, will the JL rears hit the enclosures? Also why the JLs over the Rockford Fosgates, or JBLs? And what about the forum member here that hated the Viper speakers?

US acoustics is good.
5.25 components. Tweets should be tested ni various locations with double sided tape. put them where they sound best.
I dont like ANY RF subs. They do not sound good.
Not fond of the JBL, its been a long time since ive heard them
JL Audio is a very good brand, good sound quality, great quality.

What have you heard bad about the vipers? The onl ybad thing is the diameter of the basket.
I know a few audiophiles mentioned they are not high end speakers.. and they aren't... high end sound retails for $700+...
but they are A LOT better than the comps you posted.
Infiniti/polk/etc: V6 Camaro $100-200
Vipers: Corvette $150
"High End" (Focal for example) Ferrari 360 Modena $500-1000
"Bleeding Edge" (Rainbow Reference) Mclaren F1 $7000
