ALPINE 7897-7998--QUESTION?

I have a 7897 and after blowing up a screen (not sure if this has anything to do with it, but the remote on was the 12 v source for the camera i believe) the head unit does not close by itself when the car is turned off or open up by itself when the car is turned on.

I was wondering if it was a setting that i could change? The head unit is damaged? or i just need to pull the neg terminal for a few seconds and reset the system?

ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

hit the reset button on the front of the radio and check the fuse in the radio.

when should i hit the button, with the accessories turned on, but with the face in, or with all the power off?

And if it still plays cd's perfectly and opens and closes perfectly is it possible for just that feature to have broken? This doesn't make sense to me.

hm. check the 12v switched circuit...

I would suspect it's a wiring problem.
