I have a set of MB Quart PSD213's....and I have the tweets set at 0db on the xover provided with them.....I have noticed that they will cut out when playing at higher volumes.....I have a Alpine 7995 head unit, so it's a preamp deck and the new line of Orion amps.....3002 to rund the comps.....Maybe I have not got the system set up right yet or something....I am having a hard time with this....I have the mids in the doors and the tweets in the dash where the old 4x6 were.....I made a custom plate for them and they set flush.....I don;t feel that I am getting all I can out of them...as I can't really hear them so to speak....but I can sure tell when they cut out.....Is there anything I can do to fix this.....?
The crossovers have a little light bulb that shows when you are beginning to clip the tweeters. You don't want that to light up. If it does your gains are set too high. Check to see if you broke the filament in the bulb. It would be similar to blowing a fuse.
