Default Sub and amp hookup questions!!

I have just got one of Mikes dual 10 sub enclosure, and this thing is awesome quality!! Now this is my question. I'm going to put 2 dual voice coil subs in the enclosure. It has one terminal on the back. Do I need to put in another terminal or what. I also am wanting to run an amp to each sub, since I already have two amps in the car. At present I have the amps bridged and each sub is running parallel( I think thats the term, if not correct me-- positive from one coil to positive on other coil and vice versa for the negative.) Since theres only one terminal I am only running one sub and one amp. Any help Appreciated!! Thanks Jason

Jason, some amps got the ability to bridge 2 amps together ... If your amps are not capable of that, then you will need 1 more terminal ...
You should have told me that you will replace my subs with your subs and using 2 amps to push them so I will add 1 more terminal for ya ...
Good luck and let me know if you have any more question.

Be careful, depending on your amps (mono, or bridged 2 channel), the impedence of the subs, and the number of subs all has a relationship on the resistance the amp sees. If the amp sees too little resistance, you will literally "cook" it.

For example a 2 ohm sub running from a bridged 2 channel amp will produce a 1 ohm load and most amps are not designed for that.

Ok everybody, I just put my infinitys back into Mikes enclosure. I am not putting the farenheits in there. I did put another terminal in the box so I could use the two amps I already had. The amps are bridged and are running each sub. It sounds pretty good!! Now I need a custom enclosure to house my amps and recess my cap and crossover and HIDE my wires!! :seeya

Very cool. I like the whole "amp for each sub" hook up. I've never done that. Its difficult in a vette with limited space.

Take some pics.
