putting speaker in door ???

i am wanting to put my focals in the door panels of my vette and was wondering if they will just bolt in or is there some adaptors?

also does anyone sell the adaptors plates?

also i am seeing alot of people are putting the tweeters behind the pull handle, how much is this piece if i would take out the stereo??

any tutorials on taking off the door panel??

forum member vrumvrum makes some nice ones

You don't have to mount the tweeters in the door release handles just mount them where you stock speakers were. I believe CF-member vrumvrum sells adaptor plates for the speakers as well as head unit mounts.

Anyway, this is what I did with mine.
The trim piece that holds the tweeter/mid-range combo was CNC-milled. This speaker pod fits, mostly unobstructed, behind the Bose grill.
Tweeter: 1" Dynaudio D28 (from their home speaker)
Midrange: 3" Dynaudio MD140 (automotive)
Mid-Bass: 6.5" Scan Speak 18W/8535-00
<Note the relocation of the power control module to accomodate the speaker pod.>
