Yep they are glued in with some sort of fiberglass glue. I found a hairdryer worked very well to loosen it up, then just a good firm push and I was able to get then out. Getting those damn things out of the door is a major PINA

Yeah, it looks like the same crap they use to hold on to that vapor barrier plastic sheet that seperates the inner door from the outer door.
