Alpine CD Changer & Aux Inputs
For those without factory cd changer, I just installed the Alpine 6 cd changer in the trunk. It connects to the factory HU using the HU controls with an adapter called the gmasx. This gmasx also has aux inputs that can toggle between the alpine cd changer and whatever source you connect to the rca plugs. Since the vette has a 20 pin remote harness on the back (instead of the usual 9 pin), you have to connect an adapter called the gmh20t to the back of the HU. The toggle switch and the rca plugs come out of the ash tray bay.

I just test wired my old Alpine changer with the Peripheral parts you wrote about. It works the way it is supposed to.
Did you install the changer per the GM instructons with the mounting plate and rivets or did you do your own thing?
Do you have a drawing or picture of the mounting plate. I have the capabilities to make one at work.
