Head Unit installed, sounds fantastic... except...
I can't control the volume, fade or balance from the head unit. :eek: :confused:
I can adjust the volume at the amp by adjusting the gain, but changing the volume on the headunit does nothing. I changed every setting that I can think of on the amp and on the head unit but still no dice! :mad
What did I do wrong?
HU: Clarion

Does the HU have multiple outs- as in front / rear / subwoofer?
Sounds like a symptom of running the sub output to your amp. Is there a subwoofer level control on the HU to check this?

I got it figured out, thanks to Arisa's help.
I had it hooked up wrong, after I checked and re-checked and triple checked the wiring, I STILL did it wrong.
Sometimes I think I am losing IQ points just by breathing..... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I like 'em... they put out some clean sound. I can hear the tunes clearly over the exhaust no problem at all!
I still have a lot of adjustments to do, swap some wires etc so that I get the fade and balance right (balance is backwards and fade is non-existant) but that is no problem.

So what was the problem?
I had hooked one set of cables into the correct output and the second set into the headphone output.... DOH! :banghead:
