New Sub Location!!
A local place did this, all I did was drive it around back, they ripped out the old carpet, took off the compartment lids, measured a new piece of board to make a 'false floor' and carpeted it in black, cut out the sub hole, and mounted it and wired it....

Re: New Sub Location!! (ZF Six)
$30 bones, you got that cheap
Ya might want to get a grill for the sub, things roll around and that might ruin your day. Make sure it is a high-excursion grill too

No rattles or anything, the people did an awesome job, no complaints at all.
I am going to mount my amp in the same place on the other side tomorrow, that should even things out a little bit.

8mm? That's not very high excursion-ish. I can look at it and tell you it moves more than that... 8mm can't be right...

Re: New Sub Location!! (ZF Six)
Not really...it's probobly only about 8 mm one way...16 mm peak to peak.
You probly won't need any special grill...but the ones from partsexpress for high excusion subs look pretty good in black.

yep. audiobahn is good at making subs look like they are high excursion, when in fact, they have pretty low excursion.

I just saw the surround of the sub and it looks huge so I just figured it would have some serious excursion. oops :conehead

They didn't, apparently it was sealed good enough cause there aren't any air leaks. All they did was cut a board that fit the bottom of the rear area exactly and mounted it up.
