I ported my 5.6 cube box to ~28 hz...and I am completely taken aback by how much louder and better it sounds. Before, it sounded great. Now, it feels like someone is bashing your chest in with a sledge. :eek:
I was surprised that the sound quality did not go down, if anything, it seems more punchy(probably because of the 6 db hump from 35-70 hz).
Best 16 bucks ever spent on PVC and 2 4" 90 degree elbows. :jester

I know...but ported as it is to ~28 hz or so...they don't hit over max excursion till 20 hz...at full power. I don't really play anything that deep, so I'm not worried too much.
