[PICS] New Sound SYstem
Since I already posted this in OT, I thought I would post it here for those that don't go there...
My new Head Unit... Clarion DXZ635MP... The install kit I bought months ago from DoctorDan has a storage unit beneath it rather than centering the unit in that double din space.
Amps: 1 4x65 US Acoustics for the 4 speakers, 1 2x100 for the sub
No carpet back there yet, I am in search of a peice of red carpet that will offset all the black...
The sub Kicker Solobaric 8" dual 2ohm
Anyone notice anything...well.... odd?

I meant to do a whole pictorial thing on the install but I forgot until I was almost done.....
The speakers are now hidden behind the stock panels in front and in back.

Thats the same mounting kit and nearly the same head unit I installed in my car recently. I was pretty happy with both

Nope, that's not it..... the sub is mounted and the box is the passenger-side storage compartment. I emptied the compartment, sealed it and am using that as the enclosure... works pretty well.
I installed the power-antenna bypass and mounted it by the sub. Very inconspicuous, easy to reach.
Turns out that I don't need it :banghead: This new head unit only raises the antenna if you select radio. In CD/MP3 or Aux mode, it doesn't raise it which is the whole reason for the bypass in the first place....
Ah well...
