I've got a Pioneer DEH-15 in my Escort, it was super cheap, at about $100. I'm thinking about taking the Pioneer DEH-4400 out of the Vette, and putting it in the Escort, and taking the Escort head unit to make a portable CD player/speaker box for our work truck. The Vette would then get a Pioneer DEH-4500MP.
My question is, are all three harnesses the same? Will they just swap back and forth with no new wiring?
I bet the DEH-4400 and the DEH-4500MP have the same harness. I also bet the DEH-15 does not.
One way to try is to go to site like Crutchfield and look under adaptors. Type in the 3 models and see if they use the same adaptor.
Good luck
