Default Help with XM Radio Connection?

I have a 2000 C5 with a CD player but no changer. I bought the COR-HAR and the GM10-AUX. I plugged the COR-HAR into the two plugs under the right floor panel, the GM10-AUX into the COR-HAR and an adapter to my Dephi XM radio car kit. Plugged it into the power point in the console. I got output from the Dephi unit but the radio head in the car doesn't recognize the input of the XM. It acts as though it is waiting for a CD to be inserted with no audio. I have tried turning the ignition off, radio off, then turning them on in different sequences to see if the radio will recognize the aux input but to no avail. Any help? Thanks.

You need to disconnect the battery for 10 min or so to then let the hu recognize the new setup. There is alot in the forum on how exactly to do this. Search for aux inputs or xm radio.

Screw that, disconnecting stuff didn't help me. When all else fails and you are about to rip your hair out, turn the radio on "radio" (have the cor-har plugged into the harness first, and of course have the harness plugged in, so have EVERYTHING plugged in) then UNPLUG the cor-har. I know it isn't recommended that you plug/unplug anything while it is live, but honestly this is the ONLY way I could get it to work for me. Keep reading... Switch to the cd/aux from radio, it registers as an error... Switch back to radio, the cd icon (that previously just sat there and blinked no matter how long I disconnected the negative cable before plugging in each cable) disappears... Hit cd, nothing happens, then plug in the cor-har. Switch to CD, it may error out the first time, switch back and forth, it should finally work. Again, I tried this 'cause all else failed and I finally used the force.

That worked for me. The actual plugging/unplugging sequence of cor-har versus switching to cd from radio I am not certain of, but I am certain that I never unplugged cor-har in WHILE the radio was switched to the cd/aux mode and the cd icon was blinking... All in all, if all else fails, this is how I got it to work after almost three hours of 10 min here, 20 min there, droppnig a battery post and having to disconnect the battery and remove the battery mount here, etc. type frustration. Good luck, and it is HIGHLY worth the experience, when you get it up and running let us know!

Rey :)

Good News! The XM radio works. Here is what I did after the radio head iniatially would not recognize the XM radio plugged into the aux inputs.

1. turned on ignition
2. powered up radio in radio mode
3. powered up XM radio with all wires attached
4. plugged in the 2 COR-HAR plugs into the receptacles in the right footwell
5. pushed the radio's aux button
6. listened to my XM radio

There was no need to disconnect my battery to get the radio to recognize the XM radio.

Thanks for you help.
