Alpine CHA-S634, not powering up..
I have 98 Corvette that has an OEM CD changer that is dead. I purchased the items below and when I hook everything up, noting happensÂ…. According to everything I have seen, all the adapters are the correct ones. The GMASX lists the CHM-S620, S630, and S611.. I was told that the CHA-S634 would work fine to because its in the S600 series.. Everything is brand new out of the box. Any ideas?
1) Peripheral GMASX (adapter for 1997 – 2000 GM)
2) GMH20T (GM harness adapter)
3) Alpine KCA-130B (Female Ai-Net to M-Bus adaptor)
4) Alpine CHA-S634

What do you mean by nothing happens? If its just the cd changer see if it will eject the cartridge. It only requires constant power and ground for that, nothing to do with AiNet or interface cables.

Well, I found out that the S634 does not support this type of setup..
Sooo, I sold it... Now looking for another changer..

Is there any way to see if it is the m-bus adapter? I am using the same setup with a s630 without problems.
