Don't flame me, but we do like taking our vette for vacations and pack luggage, golf clubs, etc. in the back. What happens to the sub woofer sound when one is installed in an enclosure in the compartment back there?? I know you will still feel it, but does it get muffled or something?? Thinking about putting in a 10"er with 200-200 watts.
Maybe this is a good case for putting the 8" Kickers in the doors.
Yep, put 8"s in the doors and a sub in the rear. Crossover the rear sub at 80 HZ or below and enjoy the extra bass wether or not it is blocked by luggage.
Thanks for the reply Jay - how's the occupation going??
Can I fit a 3 way component set of speakers in the existing door and cover with the existing door panel?? Thinking of the Kicker 8", and the CDT RSD 210 - 5 1/4" and 1" tweeter. Then add the CDT image enhancer up on the pillars or dash corners. Don't forget the 10" sub, maybe Kicker CVR10 or Rockford P310DL. Then of course lots of power amps and HU!! Man this is fun.

How are you planning to build a sealed enclosure for the Kicker 8"? An 8" with a 5.25 is going to be tough to pull off w/out some fiberglass work. How about a 6.5 infinite baffle sub and a 4" component set? You might be able to get a 5.25" component set with the 6.5, but it will be close.
Lars, I believe the Kicker RMB8 or RMB6 can both be used in door applications, but now that you tell me that there isn't enough room for all I want, I guess I will have to re adjust my thinking....or the car. Still would like to get an 8", plus a mid in the door, and maybe have to locate the tweeter on the outside of the grill or into the door like some others have done. Dam this is fun.
Here is a pic of an install I did using the JLXR653csi components. There is a 6.5" and 4" with the tweet in the doorpull. It sounds fantastic. Its running from a JL300/2.
