Default replace speaker wires or not

I replaced my factory speakers and radio on my 88 C4 should i have replaced the speaker wires to or would the original wires be ok.

If you are just running the speakers from the HU power, I'd say the stock wires are okay assuming you don't have to deal with any Bose stuff along the way. If you are running components and/or an amp, I'd run fresh wire.

I'd run fresh wire either way. If your stock wiring is anything like mine, it's just barely minimal.

If you are just using the HU power no need to go thru all that work, you wont gain anything except loose change undeer the seat

Actually when I was using just the stock speaker wire, I was getting engine whine. When I switched to a more heavy duty speaker wire with more sheilding to it, that went away.
