the box was for a sealed 10" but they are sold out. . it was only gonna cost me 20 bux for this one. It was fully sealed and carpeted, 3/4" MDF and had gold terminals. They retail for $80 but the place i went to buys overstock so you can get stuff cheaper. They had dual sub boxes that i was about to buy($37.95) but then i realized that they were for 12" subs. That would have been some air leak

I think you need to go do the following:

1) Go to Home Depot, Lowes, whatever.

2) Buy 1 each, 4'x8', 3/4" MDF

3) Buy 1 each, Circular Saw

4) Buy 1 each, Jig/Sabre Saw

5) Buy 1 each, drill + bits

6) Buy 1 each, tape measure, straight edge & Sharpie

7) Buy 1 each, tube of RTV sealer

8) Buy 4 yards, ozite, colour matched.

9) Buy 1 each, can of 3M Upolstery Adhesive (contact cement).

10) Commence to follow the directions with the subs and make your own box.

Buying these off the shelf POS will do nothing but ruin good hardware.

It will take you about 3 hours to build a box... take your time... measure twice, cut once. Pre-drill everything, or the box will split. Drill a hole for the wire leading into the box... it will result in less resistance and will make a better seal (pour RTV into the space left by the wire).

Use the RTV to seal all seams. Too much is just right.

Let the assembled box sit over night, so the RTV can dry, then proceed to bump, yo.

Your system is only as good as it's weakest link. You've spent good money on good equipment, so don't skimp on the enclosure.

Build one yourself if you have the proper tools, or better yet, have a pro do it. You will be very happy in the end. Good luck.

True. I'm only running one 10" JL sub, in the stock storage area behind my passenger seat. I paid to have a custom fiberglass enclosure made, so it'd use every square inch possible. This one sub pounds, to the point that you can get a good back massage with low volume

No updates yet, but after what you guys said about possibly blowing my subs, i disconnected them. I'm not going to build the box because i can get prefab boxes of good quality for cheap and because i have 4 state finals coming up and im also trying to improve my marks at the same time. I went to pick up the box today but the store closed just as i got there .

I have run a 10W6 w/ 100 watts and it hit fine. You need to get the box upgraded.
