Well, the alarm for the most part is finished up, only problem is we cannot get the damn thing to remote start. When enabling remote start via the remote, everything works as it should, except fot he minor detail the motor doesnt crank over. The lights flash, the dash runs it's course, everything goes as it's supposed to, but the motor wont turn over. If the car is manually started, then requested to remote start, i can remove the key, and the car will remain running, like it should. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone installed one of these before? :help: :mad
Sounds like you have not bypassed the VATS. There is a resistor inside your key that needs to be present for the car to start. Try this..insert your key into the ignition. Do not turn it just put it in. Remote start the car. If the car starts that is your problem. Then you need to bypass the VATS and you are all good.
Ok that is odd. It sounds sort of like there is something not energized when you remote start. DEI says there is only one start and one ignition wire in the car. They also say there are two accessory wires but those should not be needed to start the car. Have you done anything with the keysense wire? Give me a call if you want at 727.514.3348 anytime...proably easier to hash it out over the phone.

Figured out what it was, very simple, and stupid on our part. We connected the tach wire to voltage, and not the actual tach wire, now it remote starts. Thanks for the help guys!
good deal. I never realized your car is a stick. Careful with that. A Corvette here drove across Dale Marby Highway once and a motorcycle ran into a Corvette also. Both remote start accidents.
