newbie--please help!!

newbie--please help!!
I have a 95 vette that just lost the radio. Took it to dealer. Those jokers said I need a "radio module"! Not sure what he means, ...or how it could possibly be $750 to repair.!!!!!!!!
I went in the compartment behind the passenger seat---pulled a Potter & Brumfield part off that looks to me to be a relay. I also see the radio receiver.
What the h@ll is he talking about this?.. is he maybe refering to the radio receiver?
Is there really such a thing as a "radio receiver"??
Am I looking in the right location or is this somthing in the dash conected to the actual radio???

Having no radio SUCKS!!
Kinda kills the coolness of driving such a great car.
Is there really a "radio module"????
Or is this just what he calls the receiver, or relay?

In michigan and only 2 months of good weather left B4 snow
w/ a convertable and NO RADIO!!!!--REALLY BLOWS@!!
