I'm wanting to record some 1/4 mile runs with my rear camera that I have mounted in 3rd. brake light on my alpine D-900 system.
Does anybody know what type of recording devise is best to use for this purpose and where to purchase it?
I would also like to be able to record both front and rear video simultaneously if possible?
Any help on this would be appreciated!
for basic recording you can use a vcr inline with the system but if you wanna record 2 video signals you need a unit called a quad where 4 cameras go into one and then that output allows 4 cameras on one screen. however you will see all four on the screen on playback. to view one at a time you would need a multiplexer. you can go on ebay to look for these units under words like cctv, multiplexer and quad. hope this helps.
