roady 2 sound quality?
depends on how picky you are, but i'm guessing... no. i drove a suburban with xm from the factory for about 8 months before my b/f put an xm commander in the c5. when he first put it in, he used a wired fm modulator (which should sound better than the wireless fm mod with the roady) and, i still thought the sound quality SUCKED in comparison to the suburban's xm.
sooo... anyway... after a couple days of additional begging, he ripped the whole thing back out and used an adaptor from PIE that gave us 3 sets of switchable rca "aux" inputs. one is used by the xm commander, one i use for my iPod and we still have an extra. wired like that, the xm sounds like it should!

my advice, look for an adaptor. if you don't have a cd changer there's probably an adaptor that will plug right into your radio and give you a set of rca aux inputs. if you can, i'd recommend going that route.

I was very interested in your reply Violet. My Corvette has the best sound system in my "fleet" and I have to say, the Roady2 with wireless FM is not as good as FM broadcast. I have been debating the install of the harnesses for a hardwire, but at $132 for parts, I need to be sure it is worth it.
So, to answer the original poster, the sound quality is not outstanding, but, if you do any amount of driving, or especially roadtrips, I still think it would be worth it.
