Does C6 nav/stereo fit in C5???
Ive been looking for a nav unit to install in my Z06, but I want something that will look stock, and will not entail cutting up my console trim piece. The C6 nav/stereo looks about the same size as the C5 stereo....will it fit?? And how much does the unit cost?? Any info about the swap would be much appriciated. Thanks

This has been discussed here before. Only way to find out for sure would be to talk to your local dealership's parts department for cost and then crossreference between the C5 and C6. From the looks of things the C6 uses a double din opening...C5 uses a din and one half. So modification would be needed. Also navigation requires input from the vechicle. Usually the speed sense wire,reverse wire,and parking brake...not always all three but often. Those will be pretied into the C6. I highly doubt that navigation will swap into the C5.

Fitting a double din product into the c5 dash should be possible, and still look completely stock if you find a shop that's competent enough to modify the trim panel that goes around the radio/HVAC controls.

Jim...notice he said he did not want to cut the factory dash trim. That part would be the easiest. I have done several myself...modified the dash to hold larger than dbl din. Other here have also. The real problem is the electrical interface. It would be very interesting to see a C6 radio in a C5 but I doubt it will happen for a long time if at all. Still not enough info available on the C6 to say.
