I would have to agree with scott to an extent. You can get tight bass out of the 15 if that is what you are looking for. But I have alot of experience with both companies. The Eclipse subs have never really impressed me. At least not as much as JL Audio. I honestly have never installed a JL sub that I disliked. I would do the 3 10's.
I would personally go with a single 15" Adire Brahma, or for less cash a single Adire Maelstrom(18" beast of a driver, I think they are 300 bucks). I was extremely impressed by the single Maelstrom that I heard. It was sealed, I don't remember how many cubes, but it was run off about 600 rms and it was extremely loud and clean.
EDIT: Link for the Maelstrom: clicky And for the Brahma, just go to www.adireaudio.com, I don't feel like linking to it's spec page also. I'm lazy.
EDIT: I just noticed that the Koda subs are out...they are very formidable drivers...the 15" would be louder and sound better than the Maelstrom for a little less dough. The Koda 15 would be my choice.
