My dad purchased a 91 C4 with Bose system a few years ago. The factory Bose speakers and head unit had been pulled out. The original owner had put in an aftermarket head unit, amps, sub and speakers. He wants to get it back to stock so he has room to put lugage in it. I decided to pull the amps and sub box and just run the speakers off of deck power until he finds factory replacements.

I pulled all the associated stuff out yesterday and want to kill the installer that installed this system. Never seen so many but splices in my life. Everything came out just fine. I have a few questions on the things I found.

There was a circut board that is 4 inches wide and 6 inches long, it looks like it had a cover at some point. It has 3 ***** on the end of it. It appears to have a couple of leds on it. It plugged in to 2 pieces of harness behind the radio. I have pictures of this if anybody would like to see. Any ideas what this is?

The second issue is, around the brain under the passenger side dash it has some aftermarket piece that is 1 inch around and 5 inches long, and has a few dangling wires. The other wires appear to be attached to something. Any ideas on what it could be, and do I need it?

It appears the original installer tapped in to factory radio brain for the power, ground, and yellow, remote. What I am trying to do is use the aftermarket speakers that are already in the car with the Eclipse brand headunit that is already in the car.

I checked out the most listed links listed in this forum but did not see any of the info listed that I needed. I can not find any information on what I have to keep of the original system so the car still works fine. Any help would be much appreciated.
