I've been looking for this info as well I hope someone comes through.
I've heard that they added a ground strap to help gronf the antenna.
An aftermarket company used to sell a ground strap kit.I have to replace my mast and I'm thinking about getting one of those braided straps for like a engine or a battery and giving that a shot.
