Default Alpine CDA 9827

I'm considering getting an Alpine CDA 9827.
I was wondering if anyone has this head unit.
My main concern is if it will stick out. I do not want it to sitck out.
I remember reading that we only have 6 inches to play with.

Thanks
Nick

It will stick out if you use a standard GM dash kit. That kit will put the radio 1.5" out the dash. But you do not have to use it. There is a GM dash kit available that allows you to flush the unit and there is a forum member VrumVrum that makes a billet aluminum dash kit that does the same thing. You will been to either bend a piece of metal behind the radio or remove it to flush the unit in. Either way it is very easy to do.

I'm going to order vrumvrum's HU mounting kit and speaker kit.
